Learning to Clean Like The Pro's

A few years ago, I realized that I didn't really know how to keep my house clean. There were always dishes sitting in the sink, and I couldn't keep up with laundry if my life depended on it. However, a friend of mine suggested working with a professional maid, and so I took her advice. As she worked, I watched her methods, and I learned a lot. This blog is dedicated to my cleaning studies. Here, you will find information on how to clean your house more effectively, so that you can stop wasting time on certain jobs. My plan is that this website could help you to live better than ever. Thanks for reading!

Caring For The Stucco On Your Home Or Building

Blog

Stucco can give your home or building a great look with a texture that tends to be pleasing to the eye. However, you do want to make sure you know how to properly maintain and clean the stucco in order for you to keep it looking its best. You can learn some useful tips in this article that you'll want to consider implementing in order to keep your stucco looking its best.

Stucco isn't as fragile as it may look

One of the great things about stucco is that it has a texture to it that makes it look somewhat fragile. However, all you have to do is feel it to see how tough it really is and this is good news for your home or building. However, you do want to make sure you protect it from taking hits. For example, you may want to set rules about kids, or anyone, leaning their bikes against the stucco. While leaning a bike against it won't hurt, what can damage it is when someone carelessly flings their bike against it. This would cause damage to most types of siding.

Stucco can become stained

There are some things you want to do to make sure that your stucco doesn't end up getting stained. You need to make sure the rain gutters are always clean and check them regularly and thoroughly for any signs of problems that need to be fixed. It's also a good idea to consider having gutter guards installed to prevent them from ever ending up clogged. If the gutters are clogged, damaged, or separated, then rainwater will flow over or through them and this can cause a lot of staining to the stucco. If you spot areas where this has just happened, rinse the area off with the hose and have the gutter cleaned or fixed right away.

Stucco should be cleaned

You want to have your stucco cleaned when it starts to look like it is getting dirty and/or muddy. By staying on top of the cleaning, you can help to prevent stubborn stains from setting in that will be more difficult to get rid of. You can have the stucco professionally cleaned annually to ensure that your home always looks great and to help prevent any staining you may not spot for a while because it is in a place you don't see as frequently.
