Learning to Clean Like The Pro's

A few years ago, I realized that I didn't really know how to keep my house clean. There were always dishes sitting in the sink, and I couldn't keep up with laundry if my life depended on it. However, a friend of mine suggested working with a professional maid, and so I took her advice. As she worked, I watched her methods, and I learned a lot. This blog is dedicated to my cleaning studies. Here, you will find information on how to clean your house more effectively, so that you can stop wasting time on certain jobs. Tips and Tricks for Cleaning Your Carpet

Blog

Although the flooring materials market continues to flourish every day with new products like vinyl and laminate, many people still prefer carpet in their homes. Besides being easy to maintain, carpets add softness and warmth to many homes.

When your carpeted home or office looks all clean and smart, it improves its first impressions. But a carpet endures too much, making it hard to remain clean all the time. For instance, all the daily strolls, stains from spills, messy accidents, and pet dander can take a toll on the carpet. Yet, it can look its best, thus adding an excellent feel, pattern, and outstanding shade to your home. It is possible to achieve all this by using different cleaning methods to do away with grit and dirt that spoil its fibers.

Here are tips and tricks to keep your carpet looking fresh all day.

Don't Rub—Blot

It is not always easy to resist the urge to scrub a spill or stain when it first comes about. It feels like the first defense line against keeping it all clean and fresh. Yet, it is advisable not to scrub as soon as it occurs. It pushes the stain further down the carpet or spreads over a wide area than anticipated, resulting in premature fiber breakdown. Alternatively, immerse a clean cloth in a cleaning liquid and press it lightly against the stain. This method soaks the stain up without causing any damage to the fiber.

Befriend Baking Soda

Oily and ink stains can be frustrating to clean. They are usually excessively ingratiating dark and thick, making it one of the most challenging things to do. Using water never really makes it easier. Fortunately, there is a better method of doing away with that stain. Baking soda comes in handy. It has continued to be a successful method for getting rid of stubborn stains like oils and inks in carpets over time.

For such stains, spread the baking soda gently over the stained area and leave it to soak up for some time. It leaves the carpet with a dry crust where you can rinse with clean water or vacuum.

Hire Cleaning Services

People's lives are getting busier every day such that the little time they have left away from work is spent with loved ones or finishing up other tasks. Therefore, it is unavoidable to seek the services of professional carpet cleaners. Most professionals have machines that work wonders whether they're using dry extraction or steam cleaning methods. You're only required to point out your preferred method, and voila! You receive a clean carpet.
